Match Reports
U13 Gower
U13 Redcliffe Cyclones Gower Vs. Wilston North
In our final game of the season, the U13 Cyclones took on Wilston North. We lost the toss the were sent in to bat. A restructured batting line up saw Luke and Ethan open the batting and they got the team off to a great start. Luke was the first to depart, however at 1/57 after 8 overs the foundation was set. Yet again though, the middle order collapsed and at one stage we lost 7/18 before some late order hitting from Braxton seen a par score posted. Luke 31, Ethan 27 and Braxton 27 no. were the top scorers.
Wilston North started strongly before Braxton and Jayden combined to affect a runout. Cohen, Luke and Jayden all picked up late wickets to keep the match alive right until the end, but Wilston North reached our total with three overs remaining.
Final scores:
Redcliffe Cyclones 10/117 (26) def by Wilston North 4/119 (22.1)
Thank you to all the boys for making it yet another memorable season and to all the great parents that helped and cheered on from the sidelines.
U13 Stimpson
Another fun morning with Stimpson u13 team.
Unfortunately, another week without a win but it didn’t dampen any spirits! As a team we also got the most 4s scored in a match all season. Particularly well played to Darcy, our last man standing, who threw caution to the wind and ended up with an impressive 17runs from 18balls.
We had our own little presentation after the match to celebrate all the moments of brilliance that each of our members have shown throughout the season. It has been a tough one - lots of very experienced teams continued to keep us at bay but the team has come a long way and we are so proud of them all!
