Match Reports
U10 - Ryan
This is a really special little team! They were a couple of players short today but still managed to pull together 241 runs v 115 against Valleys. They play like a real team showing fantastic attitudes towards the opposition and their coach! How is this for a summary:
Hayden took 6 wickets
Noah on debut made 23 runs not out and took 2 wickets
Archie and Josh top scored both at 35 runs (Josh then nailed 2 run outs and Archie turned on the spin to take 2 wickets)
Eddie was once again consistent with bat and ball taking 3 wickets and Hannah was fantastic keeping for the first 10 and ended on 15 not out.
The kids (and the parents) are having a ball each week, it’s so good to watch!
U15 - McDonald
Another cracker of a wicket at Filmer Park for the local derby against The Lakes. We lost the toss and didn’t waste any time with Hayden taking a wicket in the first over and bowling a really good line in his opening spell. Whenever the batters looked set, we picked up wickets with really good bowling from Bicko, Arya, Matthys, Bodhi, Riley and Harry. We kept the pressure on stringing dot balls together, fielding good in close. 36 extras is something we need to improve on though. A late declaration from The Lakes @ 9/202, meant we had 6 overs to face. Rohan and Cooper looked solid finishing the day at 0/22 and putting us in a great position for next weeks run chase.
Bowling
Matthys 3/22 off 7
Hayden 1/17 off 6
Bodhi 1/18 off 6
