Match Reports

U13 - Stimpson

U13 Stimpson had a massive task ahead of them this week chasing over 370runs! We didn’t manage to match the total but did hang in there for the full overs. Some great batting performances from Gautam and Ruby, playing some very smart and patient cricket. Also a stand out partnership between Finlay and Harrison that saw Harrison retire not out and Finlay earn this week’s MVP.

U15 - Divine

We started off the day in the field. Bulls quickly made our total and took the aggressive option of declaring after being only 2 runs in front. Our plan was to bat out the day and eliminate the chances of an outright win for the Bulls. Jake batted and defended well retiring on 13. Our 2 new players Lewis and Noah found themselves out in the middle together and followed the plan to a tee. Noah was later joined by Ahbi and together they continued to defend our wicket. Jake returned to the centre and unfortunately ran out of partners and remained not out. This also coincided with the close of play for the day. After his stint batting and some very tidy bowling figures Jake was named Man of the Match for Round 2.

U15 - McDonald

Defending 235, Noah got us off to an amazing start taking a wicket first ball and starting with a wicket maiden. Opening with spin at the other end and some really tight bowling from both Tyson and Noah had Ferny 3/8 after 8 overs. This was backed up by Hayden and Rohan and we went to drinks with Ferny 4/44. Arya and Riley bagged a wicket each, before Matthys came on and cleaned up the tail with some excellent bowling. All out for 126 and we enforced the follow on. Although the outright victory seemed out of reach, Harry and Bodhi both picked up wickets. Another great team effort by all and some really great bowling right across the board. Well done team, we move to Sandgate for round 3 for what should be a testing game for us.

Bowling

Matthys 4/11 off 3.2 overs

Noah 2/7 off 5

Tyson 1/12 off 5

Bodhi 1/3 off 4
