U15 - Divine
Under 15 Divine are playing Toombul Bulls Black at Langdon Park. Captain Charlie won the toss and we went in to bat. New opening combination Jake and Oliver looked comfortable and scored a great combined 30 runs for the opening of the innings. The opening partnership was broken when Oliver took his chances on a shot that didn't pay off and was caught out. The team managed some lucky escapes being dropped in the field a number of times before finishing at 10/83.
Rrithesh survived 3 wickets to finish the match not out a first for him.
In Riley's first over he took a sensational wicket clean bowling their opening batter for just 2.
Play wrapped up with the opposition on 1/ 28 after 10 overs.
U15 - McDonald
A cracking day to start round 2 and a cracking wicket presented by Peninsula Cricket Club. Bodhi won the toss and elected to bat on a stunning morning at Filmer Park. Our openers Jake (24) and Cooper got us underway with a solid 59 run partnership, before Jake popped one up on the last ball before drinks. This was backed up by Bodhi(30) and Matthys(40) and Rohan returned to the team with a solid 21. After retiring earlier Cooper returned to the crease to add some valuable runs at the end and we finished with a respectable 235 total to defend next week.
