Woolworths Cricket Blast

Friday afternoons/evenings at Filmer Park are a lot of fun.  With our blasters learning and improving their cricketing skills as well as playing in friendly matches.  Everyone is welcome aged up to 10 years old.  It is approximately a 90 minutes - 2 hours fun session in a safe and inclusive environment.  We supply all the gear needed for blasters.

  • Blast into a new adventure with a personalised bat, ball and hat OR

  • Let your skills shine with a swing ball, ball on a string and sticky wickets OR

  • Cheer on your big bash team with carry bag, water bottle, hat and supporter clappers

  • PLUS, all packs come with a personalised Cricket Blast shirt

Safe and inclusive for kids of all abilities

To ensure the safety of all participants, we use plastic bats and a rubber ball.

Activities use softer balls of different sizes, as well as blind cricket balls, so kids can participate and develop at their own pace.

We provide an environment focusing on kids abilities.

Progress from backyard to superstar

The Blast program has been designed to engage and empower kids up to 10 years old of all skill levels and abilities, unleashing their potential through fun, game-based activities. Blasters will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to progress through the program to junior cricket and beyond! Our #1 aim is FUN!

Parking at Filmer Park for Blasters

The main carpark for the Cyclones/Peninsula club house is off Hornibrook Esplanade.  There is limited parking there which can fill up quickly.  If the main carpark is full there is some additional parking via Georgina street, see below - click map for larger view. Parking there you can come across the field or between us and the bowling club. We recommend this parking before using the carpark across the road from the club house, Hornibrook esplanade is very busy and can be tricky to cross especially at the time of day/night we run Blasters.
